Privacy Policy
I'm an anonymous artist, so I take privacy fairly seriously. This page explains what I collect about you, why, and what you can do about it.
Who's responsible
JBOY (jboy.co.uk) is responsible for the personal information collected on this website. You can reach me at j@jboy.co.uk.
What I collect
When you order: your name, email, phone number, billing and delivery address, and what you bought. Card details are handled by the payment provider and never seen or stored by me.
When you join the mailing list or a waitlist: your email address, and your name if you give it.
When you get in touch or ask about a commission: whatever you put in the form or email.
When you browse: standard analytics and cookie data, such as pages visited, device type and rough location.
Why I use it
To take payment, send your order, deal with returns and answer your questions.
To send you news about new work, only if you've opted in. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
To understand how the site is used and keep it working.
To keep financial records I'm legally required to keep.
Who it's shared with
Only the companies needed to run the shop: Squarespace (website, checkout and email), Stripe (payments), Royal Mail or the courier delivering your order, and Google and Meta for site analytics and advertising measurement. I don't sell your information. Ever.
Cookies
The site uses cookies to run the basket and checkout and, with your consent, for analytics and advertising measurement. You can change your choice through the cookie banner or your browser settings.
How long I keep it
Order records are kept for six years for tax purposes. Mailing list details are kept until you unsubscribe. Enquiries are deleted when they're no longer needed.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the information I hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to how it's used, or take it elsewhere. Email j@jboy.co.uk and I'll deal with it within a month. If you're not happy with how I've handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will appear on this page.
