A rework of an image I first made more than a decade ago, after a long trek up the M1. I sketched it in a motorway service station at Christmas while quietly questioning my life choices. It felt like the perfect seasonal moment to resurrect a whopper of an idea, this time drawn by hand with gold leaf buns applied by hand.
The details
Medium: Pencil or charcoal on paper, with hand-applied gold leaf
Size: 50 × 50cm
Edition: 3, each drawn by hand and unique
Signed: Signed, numbered and stamped
Certificate: Hand-written, with a matching private ID code linked to your order
Released: Elfridges Artvent, 1 December 2025
Came with: A free signed Three Wise Men poster
Getting it to you
Made to order, so allow 4 to 6 weeks. I’ll be in touch as soon as it’s finished. It then goes worldwide with Royal Mail, rolled in a sturdy tube, with postage worked out at checkout. Any tariffs are yours, though you probably won’t see many. Originals from this drop were sent after Christmas.
The fine print
Refunds are available by email within one hour of purchase. That lets the piece go straight back up for someone else. Accidental buys are almost impossible here, but buyer’s remorse is a universal human experience.
I guarantee you’ll love what you (eventually) receive.
