A lot has happened in the 14 years since I re-imagined this, yet people still can’t seem to get over it. It remains one of my most requested images, despite my many attempts to move on—I’m constantly reminded of it.
Ironically, it’s probably the most pastiched pastiche I’ve ever made. Quite amusing, really. Still, the original and the best—or so my mum says. Now, it’s taking its final walk before being gently put to sleep.
This piece stands out at a larger 60 × 60 cm size as a drawing edition with the dog in a cartoonish style. The character replicates the stencil technique.
